Anime Zero Artifacts Guide: Core, Supports and Refining

Pick an Artifact for the fighter and mode you play. Start with a compatible Core, use Supports to round out the build, and read the Refine preview before you give up a useful roll.

Equip one Core and three Supports

Open Artifacts and choose the fighter you want to gear. At 1:59 in the Update 6 footage, the equipment panel shows one Core slot and three Support slots per fighter. Check the fighter selector each time you switch builds.

SlotHow manyWhat to look for
Core1Choose a main effect your fighter can trigger reliably. Check the condition and any drawback.
Support3Fill the other slots with smaller effects or useful stats for the same job. For a boss build, prioritize what helps you finish that fight consistently.

Why does Loopback say No Effect?

At 2:09, the recording opens Loopback while a Burn fighter is selected. Loopback requires Echo, and the panel marks its special effect with “ECHO NOT TAKEN · NO EFFECT.” The card still displays its stat rows. Check the loadout totals when you want to compare what the piece contributes on that fighter.

Use the same check on other cards. Compare the type and trigger against your fighter’s active Potential, then weigh any penalty against the benefit. A higher score can still be a poor fit if you rarely meet the effect’s condition.

Choose Reroll Affix or Reroll Value

An affix is a stat row, such as Boss DMG or Crit Rate. At 2:23, the Refine panel previews possible replacement stats for Reroll Affix. The resulting roll becomes a candidate you can compare with your existing stat.

In the November 2 preview, the panel excludes Crit Rate and DMG Taken because both affixes are already on the selected Artifact. Check the candidate list on the piece you want to refine before spending materials.

Reroll Value is the control to inspect when the stat already suits the build and you want to change its number. The footage shows the button beside Reroll Affix. It does not show a completed value reroll, so use the current preview for its possible results and cost.

When to choose Keep Old or Replace

The Reroll Affix result at 2:27 offers Keep Old and Replace. Decide which result would improve your next run before you spend on the reroll.

  • Read the stat name and the number on both rows. A larger number can help less if it affects a different part of your kit.
  • Choose Keep Old if the new row weakens the job you built the fighter for or if you are unsure what the swap changes.
  • Choose Replace if the new row supports that job and is worth losing the existing stat. Check the updated loadout before refining another row.
  • Compare two builds with the same fighter, stage or training target, and skill rotation. Clear time and survival give you more context than equipment score alone.

Where to look for Artifacts and materials

The Update 6 creator names Story, Trials and Zodiac Trials as places to look for Artifacts. The recording does not show an Artifact dropping on a result screen. Check the Rewards panel for the specific stage and difficulty you plan to run.

At about 4:52–5:12, the code demonstration shows ARTIFACTS yielding a Tempering Dust reward. Treat the code as a source to try for materials and check the live lobby for the result on your account.
